About HundredCivics

HundredCivics is a free study reference for the United States naturalization civics test, written for green-card holders preparing for their interview. Each question in the 2008 bank has its own page, both the 2008 and 2025 versions can be practised in their real format, and a short set of guides explains how the test is run. A smaller module covers the Canadian citizenship test.

Where the questions come from

The 100 questions of the 2008 test and the 128 of the 2025 test (USCIS form M-1778), with their accepted answers, are transcribed from the USCIS question lists, which are U.S. government works in the public domain. Answers that depend on who holds office are filled in from a single officeholder file, last verified on 2026-07-26, and that date is printed beside them. The explanations under each question, and the Canada summaries, are HundredCivics's own.

Which bank applies depends on your N-400 filing date; see which version applies to you.

Who is behind it

A single independent developer built HundredCivics and maintains it, along with Saeculum, ActuaryDeck, ScoreMint and History Atlas. Guides are published under the HundredCivics name without an individual byline; in the structured data, the author is the HundredCivics organization. Each guide's date is when its wording last changed.

What this site cannot do for you

It cannot tell you whether you are eligible to naturalize, which forms to file, or how to answer the personal questions on your N-400; those are legal questions, and HundredCivics gives no legal or immigration advice. It cannot promise that an officeholder answer is still current on the day of your interview, since seats change between updates: check uscis.gov/citizenship/testupdates the week before. Passing practice rounds here does not predict your result. HundredCivics is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. government, or the Government of Canada. For official guidance, use uscis.gov or a licensed immigration attorney.
