What to expect
- You will take an oath to tell the truth before the interview begins.
- The officer will ask questions from your N-400 to confirm your answers are still true and complete.
- Your speaking English is tested naturally through this conversation - there is no separate speaking test.
- You will read one sentence aloud (reading test) and write one sentence the officer dictates (writing test).
- The officer asks civics questions one at a time and stops once you answer six correctly.
- If you qualify for a disability exception or the 65/20 special consideration, tell the officer and bring the right forms.
